About The Position

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support site leadership in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving EHS programs across their motor oil blending, packaging, and distribution facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe and compliant workplace by coordinating compliance activities, training, inspections, audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety initiatives. Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Previous Environmental, Health & Safety experience
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site-level EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain EHS training content and tracking systems to ensure compliance with established programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for defined EHS programs, compliance readiness, incident reporting, corrective-action tracking, and measurable safety improvements.
  • Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate contractor safety, emergency preparedness activities, and regulatory documentation within established procedures.
  • Assist in writing permits (both physical and electronically) while assisting in monitoring third party contractors during their presence onsite.
  • Aid in facility safety audits, conduct root cause analysis, and track action items to closure.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety culture and operational excellence across blending, packaging, and distribution operations.
