About The Position

Lead Corporate Safety Initiative. This role involves completing and tracking machine certifications, inspecting and training on safety equipment, conducting safety audits, and assisting with the implementation of safety program improvements. The Safety Coordinator will also lead the respiratory protection program, schedule CPR certification classes, and execute safety drills. Additionally, they will lead the Safety Committee, conduct safety training for new hires, and enforce the safety program to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory guidelines. The position also includes assisting with workplace accident investigations and performing other related duties to ensure an efficient and effective work environment. Activities must be conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies, and any deviations must be reported.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety field preferred; or related experience and/or training; or combination

  • CPR Trainer Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete and track machine certifications
  • Inspect and perform trainings on safety equipment
  • Conduct safety audits

  • Schedule and execute safety drills
  • Lead Safety Committee

  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor
  • Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives
  • Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate
  • Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required
  • Cooperate with Auditors
  • Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor
