About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Clerk to join our team. This is a field-based role responsible for monitoring driver compliance with established SOPs and partnering with operations teams to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. The Safety Clerk will also assist in maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring employee safety practices, conducting safety observations, and supporting safety initiatives throughout our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about workplace safety and enjoys working closely with employees and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
• Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of safety experience preferred
• AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
