About The Position
As a remote interpreter, you facilitate communication between Russian and English speakers. You must process information quickly and accurately while maintaining a professional manner. The role requires a quiet and secure work environment; useful tools include notepads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries. The interpreter works from a home office. Ongoing training and competency opportunities are provided, and payment is made monthly at a per-minute rate.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Russian.
- Excellent listening, information-retention, and note-taking skills to maintain accuracy.
- Computer or laptop running Windows 10 or higher.
- USB wired headset.
- Steady wired internet connection.
- A quiet and secure work environment.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of interpretation experience is preferred.
- Proficiency, bilingual, or native-level ability in English and the target language.
Responsibilities
- Interpret between Russian and English speakers.
- Render concepts and meanings accurately according to established interpretation protocols, without omissions or additions.
- Explain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication when permitted or requested by the client.
