About The Position

The Roving Loan Officer performs loan functions for members up to the authorized limit set by the Board of Directors. The position travels to various branch locations as assigned to provide coverage and support when branches are short-staffed, and may work at other branches as needed. The role reports to the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in a lending capacity for a financial institution.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Competent computer skills and ability to use standard office equipment.
• Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate normal office equipment and lift some items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to follow the core values of Team-Focused, Excellence, Authenticity, and Leading in Innovation.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various branch locations as assigned to assist when short-staffed.
• Interview members requesting loans in person or by telephone; complete and approve loan applications; and provide NADA values, monthly payments, and loan payoffs to members.
• Work indirect loans as assigned.
• Conduct financial counseling with members.
• Work at other branches as needed.
• Update member records on the computer system and work assigned delinquent accounts.
• Adhere to Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
