About The Position

The Router coordinates with appropriate team members to provide accurate delivery routes and stays informed about efficient and accurate routing by using appropriate tools and analyzing reports. The position maintains routing data and systems, creates and distributes reports, and collaborates with transportation, warehouse, and sales management to support accurate route completion. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The employee must live within 50 miles of Conklin, New York.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of transportation experience.
• Experience working with routing software.
• Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced, highly visible, and changing environment.
• Must live within 50 miles of Conklin, New York.

Responsibilities

• Enter new customers into the routing system database.
• Maintain on-time delivery data within the internal database.
• Plot customer locations on digital maps.
• Build a travel network using digital maps.
• Perform routing database maintenance.
• Interface with all routing-based systems.
• Create, edit, and distribute routing data reports.
• Coordinate with transportation, warehouse, and sales management to ensure accurate route completion.
• Use appropriate tools to create dynamic routing.
• Create and assign accurate, cost-effective routes by implementing delivery-window improvements.
• Create and maintain a driver feedback system regarding routing.
