About The Position

The Route Specialist is a route-based, service-oriented position supporting Customer Advocates in establishing, maintaining, and building strong customer relationships through responsive and creative sales and service strategies. The role supports ImageFIRST’s values and aims to positively impact associates, customers, and the community. Work is Monday through Friday, with pay of $28.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record.
• Must possess a valid DOT medical certification or obtain one within a designated timeframe.
• Must meet DOT eligibility requirements and be comfortable operating company vehicles as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and push and pull linen carts.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent oral, written, telephone, and face-to-face communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Some delivery, logistics, and/or route experience.
• One year of experience with account management and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Practical insight specific to the textile services industry and its operations.

Responsibilities

• Support Customer Advocates in building and maintaining strong customer relationships through responsive sales and service strategies.
• Load and unload the truck and keep it organized.
• Manage customer inventory.
• Maintain knowledge of product pricing, codes, colors, sizing, changes and quantities, availability, and applications.
• Prepare and follow up on work orders and ensure invoice accuracy.
• Provide route relief during Customer Advocate vacations and call-offs.
• Provide additional route support as needed, including reroutes and additional volume.
• Make special deliveries to customers.
• Generate leads.
• Cover delivery routes in the absence of regular drivers when needed.
