Route Specialist
About The Position
This route-based, service-oriented position supports Customer Advocates in establishing, maintaining, and building strong customer relationships through responsive and creative sales and service strategies. The Route Specialist supports ImageFIRST’s values and helps positively impact associates, customers, and the community. The role includes customer inventory management, product and paperwork support, lead generation, special deliveries, and providing route coverage and additional support as needed. The position pays $22.00–$25.00 per hour and works Monday through Friday with an early morning start.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical certification or obtain one within a designated timeframe.
- Must meet DOT eligibility requirements and be comfortable operating company vehicles as needed to cover delivery routes.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and push and pull carts of linen.
- Computer literacy.
Nice To Haves
- Some delivery, logistics, and/or route experience.
- One year of experience with account management and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Practical insight specific to the textile services industry and operations.
Responsibilities
- Support Customer Advocates in establishing, maintaining, and building strong customer relationships through responsive and creative sales and service strategies.
- Support and promote ImageFIRST’s values and the ImageFIRST way.
- Load and unload the truck and keep the truck organized.
- Manage customer inventory.
- Maintain product knowledge, including pricing, codes, colors, sizing, changes and quantities, availability, and product application.
- Prepare and follow up on work orders and ensure invoice accuracy.
- Provide route relief to cover Customer Advocate vacations and call-offs.
- Provide additional route support as needed, including reroutes and additional volume.
- Make special deliveries to customers.
- Generate leads.
