Route Driver - Part-Time & On-Call Available
About The Position
Waypoint Detailed Delivery is a fast-growing logistics company specializing in time-sensitive transportation within the food and agriculture industry. The company delivers product samples to laboratories for testing to help protect public health. Headquartered in the Midwest, Waypoint operates nationwide. Route Drivers, also referred to as Field Representatives, transport food and beverage samples from client sites to laboratory destinations. They use company-provided vehicles and mobile technology, follow established routes, communicate with dispatch, and ensure accurate and timely delivery while maintaining safety, reliability, and precision. The position is available part-time and on-call. The listed schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating weekend days. Starting pay is $18 per hour. Company vehicles, tools, technology, and training are provided.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to meet insurance requirements.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; samples are transported in coolers.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company-provided vehicle to complete scheduled routes.
- Pick up and transport food and beverage samples from client locations to laboratory destinations.
- Communicate with dispatch.
- Accurately enter and track sample data using provided mobile tools.
- Follow company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
