Route Driver | Full-Time & Part-Time Available
About The Position
Waypoint Detailed Delivery is a fast-growing logistics company specializing in time-sensitive transportation within the food and agriculture industry. The company safely delivers product samples to laboratories for testing and operates nationwide. Route Drivers, also referred to as Field Representatives, transport food and agriculture samples from client sites to laboratories, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. They use company-provided vehicles and mobile technology, follow established routes, communicate with dispatch, and uphold company standards for safety, reliability, and precision. The position is offered in full-time and part-time schedules. Some routes may be combined to achieve full-time status. Starting pay is $18 per hour, with a $1 shift differential for hours from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and a $1 shift differential for weekends.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record that meets insurance requirements.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; samples are transported in coolers.
- Ability to stand, balance, and perform tasks while on a ladder.
- Ability to use hands effectively to operate equipment, tools, and related materials.
- Ability to work in environments with sustained cold temperatures.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company-provided vehicle to complete scheduled routes.
- Pick up and transport food and agriculture samples from client locations to laboratory destinations.
- Communicate with dispatch.
- Accurately enter and track sample data using provided mobile tools.
- Follow company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
