About The Position
The beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City is seeking a full-time cook to join their team! This 627-room property is half a mile south of The Pentagon near I-395 and the Pentagon City Metro station is only a three-block walk away! This is a union position that will primarily be supporting outlet operations. Ideal candidates for the role will possess 1-2 years cooking experience in a full-service restaurant, as well as training on knife skills and food safety/sanitation! Shift Pattern: this position will support both AM and PM shifts - full availability is required including weekends and holidays. Pay Rate: $26.21 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Providing shift relief for breakfast, dinner, station and second cooks in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and established standards
- Prepare and maintain quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
- Stock and maintain par levels for designated food station(s)
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
