About The Position
The Bar/Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment. This role combines bartending and serving responsibilities, ensuring guests receive timely, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.
Requirements
- Previous bartending and/or serving experience preferred
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and food service standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must meet state requirements for alcohol service (certifications if applicable)
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter into POS system
- Provide menu knowledge, including food, beer, wine, and cocktail offerings
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure a positive dining experience
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
- Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and supplies
- Monitor guest consumption and follow all safety guidelines
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Process payments accurately (cash, card, room charge if applicable)
- Maintain section cleanliness including tables, floors, and service stations
- Follow opening and closing procedures for both bar and floor
- Maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards
- Assist with setup and breakdown of dining and bar areas
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, management, and team members
- Support banquets or special events as needed
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards
- Provide a high level of hospitality that aligns with brand expectations
