About The Position

Join us at Abilene's first full-service hotel, DoubleTree Abilene Downtown Convention Center! We are looking for an Engineer II at this stunning property!
The DoubleTree by Hilton has 200 guest rooms, 17,000 sq ft of meeting space, a 3-Meal Restaurant, Lounge/Bar, and much more!
We are conveniently located across the street from the convention center in downtown Abilene, among restaurants and businesses. The Adamson-Spaulding Storybook Garden is a block away, and the Grace and Frontier Texas museums are within a mile. Abilene Zoo is only four miles from our front door and we’re just a 10-minute drive from the regional airport. We offer a pool and fitness center.
The ideal candidate has full availability - 1st and 2nd shift, holidays and weekends are required, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, has a passion for the hospitality industry and guests and is ready to dive in and assist the team in anything that comes their way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
