About The Position
DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene is looking for their next part time Restaurant Host. We're located across the street from the Abilene Convention Center in the heart of downtown, among restaurants and businesses. The free Adamson-Spaulding Storybook Garden is a block away, and the Grace Museum and Frontier Texas Museum are within one mile. We are four miles from the Abilene Zoo and six miles from the Abilene Regional Airport. We offer a pool and fitness center. The ideal candidate is a bright, energetic team player that brings at least (1) year of hosting experience in an upscale, elevated dining space. Shift Pattern: Morning and evening shifts available

Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Ensure knowledge of menu
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
