About The Position
A lovely return BAHS family in the Union Square area of NYC is seeking a live out ROTA nanny to start ASAP for their three children, ages 2.5, 1.5, and 8 months old. The rotations will typically be 7 on 7 off, though flexibility will be needed for longer rotations during travel. The nanny can expect to work 12 hour days on rotation, with on call availability compensated. The family is currently working with a nanny they love and are looking for someone equally strong to join their rotation long term.
Requirements
- Calm, confident, easygoing, and warm nature
- Strong, capable personality who can take initiative and run the household without needing direction
- Experience working with multiples or children close in age required
- Prior experience as a rotational nanny strongly preferred
- Experience working in a large city required, specific NYC experience strongly preferred
- Proactive and energetic about getting the children out of the house daily, researching classes and activities, joining play groups
- Close attention to detail and an excellent communicator
- Comfortable with last minute changes, especially with children close in age
- Excited for travel, including both domestic and international
- Confident swimmer, as the Florida house has a pool and ocean access
- Looking for longevity and comfortable in a busy home with children close in age
- Private household experience
- Valid US work authorization
- Strong verifiable references
Nice To Haves
- Driver’s license nice to have but not required
- Degree or training in education, early childhood development, or psychology, or classroom experience ideal, but a professional career nanny is most important
Responsibilities
- Full childcare of three active and sweet children, close in age
- Enrichment in and outside the home, monitoring and encouragement of milestones, partnering with mom and dad to ensure the best care
- Light housekeeping related to the children, including laundry, solids introduction and meal preparation, and keeping children’s spaces tidy
- Managing packing, unpacking, and activity planning during family travel
- Strong meal planning and keeping fresh, wholesome food on hand for the children
