About The Position

A warm, hands-on private family is seeking an exceptional, NYC-based career Nanny/Governess to lead the care and development of their toddler. This long-term role offers the opportunity to grow alongside the family. The nanny will shape an engaging daily rhythm while partnering with involved parents and an established household team. The position is live-out in SoHo, New York City, with a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule, typically 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and flexibility during the on-duty week. Domestic and international travel is required. The household team includes hands-on parents, a full-time housekeeper, and a full-time co-nanny. The role also includes shifting between childcare and household-support tasks such as organizing closets, sorting toys, packing for trips, and preparing healthy meals. Annual compensation is approximately $150,000 to $165,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits are included, but are not specified.

Requirements

Seasoned private-service nanny experience; ROTA and lead-care experience are ideal.
Understanding of child development.
Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to anticipate needs.
Clear communication and the ability to create consistency without micromanagement.
Active, organized, discreet, and adaptable approach.
Valid passport.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Capable swimmer.
