Requirements

  • Three years of hotel experience
  • Two years in a supervisory position.
  • Willingness to openly embrace and actively demonstrate the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, Culture, and Operating Philosophy.
  • Housekeeping or related work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse.
  • Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Strong leadership and a professional image.
  • Strong customer service skills to include problem-solving and complaint resolution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the way in guest service excellence as the Rooms Division Supervisor, overseeing daily front desk operations, supporting team members, and ensuring every guest has a smooth and memorable stay.
  • Provides exceptional guest service to all guests, setting the standards for all team members to follow.
  • Maintains personal contact with in-house guests and clients in the community to ensure guest loyalty.
  • Supervises the housekeeping team, laundry and public area team (and bell and shuttle van staff where applicable), which includes orientation, training & development.
  • Cultivates an inclusive culture, maintaining a fun, safe, and supportive environment for team members to thrive.
  • Is trained and able to perform any position at the property.
  • Assists in monitoring and maintaining procedures of health and safety standards for guests and team members.
  • Assists in maintaining product and service quality standards by investigating complaints and initiating corrective action.
  • Maximizes revenue and occupancy by accurately selling rooms, upselling during reservation calls and at check-in, and by making future reservations at check-out.
  • Assists in monitoring and maintaining procedures for control of supplies, keys, monies, and credit.
  • Maintains key control procedures and daily verification of all keys in the department.
  • Establishes and monitors departmental controls on linen inventory and stocking of linen rooms.
  • Establishes and maintains efficient housekeeping, laundry, and public areas systems and checklists.
  • Establishes a daily room inspection program, incorporating property staff in inspection rotation.
