About The Position

The Room Attendant prepares and cleans guest rooms to property and brand standards, ensuring rooms are clean, comfortable, welcoming, and ready for arriving guests. The role also helps maintain hotel public areas, responds courteously to guest housekeeping requests, and communicates room-status updates, maintenance concerns, lost-and-found items, and supply needs to appropriate team members. Room Attendants work independently and collaboratively with the Housekeeping team, managing assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and perform repetitive movements while cleaning guest rooms.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds frequently; push and pull housekeeping carts; and move linens, towels, supplies, trash, and guest-room items.
Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment and use cleaning products and chemicals safely.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred.
Hotel or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare guest rooms according to property and brand standards.
Make beds; replace linens and towels; dust, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces.
Restock guest amenities and ensure rooms are fully prepared for guest arrival.
Manage assigned rooms efficiently so they are ready for occupancy on time.
Help maintain hallways, lounges, restrooms, elevators, and other hotel public areas.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests related to Housekeeping.
Communicate maintenance concerns, lost-and-found items, supply needs, and room-status updates to appropriate team members.
Work independently while supporting and staying connected to the Housekeeping team.
Follow guest-room cleaning, sanitation, safety, and chemical-handling procedures.
Take initiative to address areas needing attention while maintaining quality and efficiency.
