About The Position

The Housekeeping Department, which includes positions like Room Attendant, House Attendant, and Lobby Attendant, is collectively responsible for ensuring that standards of cleanliness in assigned guest rooms and public areas are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. This role is part-time, with approximately 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM shifts, working 8-29 hours per week depending on business needs. Days of the week and weekends scheduled will vary based on business needs.

Requirements

• Neat, pleasant personality interacting with guests and coworkers
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Ability to communicate effectively and read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
• Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs

Responsibilities

• Daily changing of linens on beds and remaking beds following the property standards.
• Thorough cleanliness & sanitation of guest rooms, furnishing, hallways, and restrooms.
• Keep the work cart, storage closets, & other works areas orderly and properly stocked at all times.
• Proper utilization and care of equipment, devices, supplies & guest amenities.
• Strict follow through on lost and found procedures- No articles should ever be removed from occupied rooms.
• Absolute respect for guests’ property should always be exercised.
