About The Position

The Room Attendant cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas to ensure guests experience a clean room and to maintain high standards for cleanliness and appearance. The role supports guest satisfaction while carrying out the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company. The ideal candidate reflects the company’s Lead with Love culture and is patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated, and accountable.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy; a valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance, and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record are required.
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and hosts using approved methods.
• Able to prioritize and complete work assignments on time, work productively in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must maintain dependable attendance and flexibility with assigned schedules, including required overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment regarding privileged information.
• Must have a professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Able to use communication, problem-solving, conflict-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic accurately.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including occasional to frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds; prolonged or intermittent sitting, standing, and walking for shifts of up to 13 hours; stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling; and walking on uneven ground.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
• Able to perform repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift.
• Able to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, pay attention to detail, and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to perform tasks involving a high level of manual dexterity when operating small tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply assigned guest rooms and other designated areas according to standards.
• Maintain a clean and neat workspace.
• Replace guest room amenities and linens as necessary.
• Report maintenance issues to the room inspector.
• Keep the housekeeping cart stocked and clean.
• Assist with special projects when assigned.
• Report and deliver lost-and-found items to the Housekeeping Office.
• Assist guests in a friendly, genuine, and courteous manner.
• Complete deep cleans of guest rooms when assigned.
• Change vacuum bags and filters regularly and report damage to maintenance.
• Help maintain cleanliness in public areas and back-of-house areas.
