About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for meeting guest-room quality standards and supporting guest satisfaction at a 4-diamond property. The role requires cleaning rooms to a 96% cleanliness expectation within assigned time standards, meeting service and budgetary goals, and maintaining effective interdepartmental relations. The position is full-time and works first-shift hours, with weekend availability required. The associate works independently in an assigned section and may be assigned up to 19 rooms per shift.

Requirements

Related experience is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Must be reliable and willing to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to complete 12–16 vacant dirty rooms within an 8-hour shift, including the stated number of showers, tubs, toilets, and beds.
Must be able to use different types of chemicals.
Must be able to work independently and follow supervisors’ directions.
Must be able to meet established standards and procedures.
Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and walk long distances for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean all areas of guest rooms according to the 47-step training outline.
Clean checkout rooms at a pace of 36 minutes per room and stayover rooms at a pace of 25 minutes per room.
Deliver guest requests within 15 minutes.
Complete the daily assignment independently in the assigned section, which may include up to 19 rooms per shift.
Report room maintenance issues to AYS and the floor supervisor.
Communicate with floor supervisors and housemen about needs and work progress.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the floor supervisor.
Maintain a clear cart free of unapproved items to avoid damage.
Meet the 96% cleanliness standard and established service procedures.
