About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hydroponic Farming Assistant to assist in the daily operations of a hydroponic farm and help ensure plant health and productivity. This part-time position is suited to someone passionate about sustainable agriculture and eager to learn about hydroponic farming. Training in hydroponic farming principles will be provided.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of hydroponic farming principles; training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform farming tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Good communication skills.
- Good basic hygiene.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and maintaining hydroponic systems.
- Monitor plant health and growth, including nutrient levels and pH balance.
- Support quality control efforts.
- Clean and maintain equipment and growing areas.
- Help with planting, harvesting, and packaging produce.
- Record data on plant growth and system performance.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Follow uniform and hygiene expectations.
- Support the team with other farming-related tasks as needed.
