About The Position

The Rooftop Bartender shapes the guest experience in lou/na through excellent service, product knowledge, and engaging hospitality. The role involves crafting beverages, managing bar operations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that contributes to guest satisfaction, food and beverage revenue, and brand reputation. The bartender may serve independently or as part of a team and influences the energy and pace of service across the outlet.

Requirements

• Strong mixology skills and knowledge of a wide range of beverages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and responsible alcohol service.
• Positive, guest-focused attitude and a proactive approach to hospitality.
• Ability to work as a team member and lead when required.
• Attention to detail in presentation and inventory management.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TIPS certification or equivalent required.
• Must meet all state and local age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous bartending experience in a hotel, bar, or restaurant environment.
• Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and bar setup and teardown.
• Familiarity with food pairing and cross-selling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serve wine, draught and bottled beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and food.
• Collect payment for drinks served.
• Order and requisition liquor and supplies.
• Stock and replenish glasses, beverages, mixes, fruit, and guest supplies.
• Arrange bottled goods and glasses in an attractive display.
• Wash glasses, the bar, and equipment.
• Prepare fruit garnishes and appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• When functioning in a lead capacity, take responsibility for assigned associates in the Supervisor’s absence, assign work, and ensure proper performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
