Roofing Technical Inspector
About The Position
CentiMark Corporation is seeking an entry-level Roofing Technical Inspector to support Sales Representatives in the greater Knoxville area. The role involves traveling to customer locations to inspect commercial roofs, communicating with customers, and identifying problem areas. The inspector measures roofs and estimates the roofing materials and labor needed for re-roofing projects, providing accurate information to the sales force for customer proposals. Occasional overnight travel during the week is required. The position pays $50,000–$55,000, with an annual bonus opportunity and the benefits listed in the posting. CentiMark is a commercial roofing services provider with 100 offices and more than 3,500 employees. Its services include roof replacement, repairs, maintenance, emergency service, inspections, snow removal, and roof safety accessories.
Requirements
- Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and bid estimating software.
- General construction, roofing, and/or construction sales experience.
- A valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders to a minimum height of 25 feet.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial roofing systems, including thermoplastic, BUR, metal, shingles, tile, SPF foam, and coatings; the employer will train the right individual.
- A college degree in Construction Management or a similar field.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations and inspect commercial roofs.
- Communicate with customers and check roofs for problem areas.
- Measure commercial roofs and estimate the amount of roofing material and labor needed for re-roofing.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives to provide accurate information for customer proposals.
