About The Position
Hancock Claims Consultants specializes in Ladder Assist and Property Inspection Services, working with insurance agencies to support claims management. The Roof Field Inspector conducts assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluates exterior and interior damage, and performs underwriting property inspections. Using technology, inspectors help assess property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role is part of Hancock’s network of independent contractors and requires the ability to work safely on roofs and complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, specifically steep and high roofs.
- Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
- Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy when dealing with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
- A LiDAR-equipped device or the ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.
Nice To Haves
- Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
- HAAG Certification.
