About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property-inspection services to insurance agencies, supporting claims management through nationwide coverage and property inspections. Field Roof Inspectors work as independent contractors in Hancock’s network. They inspect steep and high roofs, assess exterior and interior damage, and perform underwriting property inspections. Using technology, inspectors help evaluate property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role requires safe roof navigation, the ability to conduct inspections in varied weather, and professional, detail-oriented customer service when interacting with insureds.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Lidar-equipped device, or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background.
• Insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
