Field Roof Inspector- (Binghamton, NY)
About The Position
Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property inspection services in collaboration with insurance agencies. The company offers nationwide claims inspections and support, including catastrophe response and direct inspections. As a Roof Field Inspector, you will work as an independent contractor conducting assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. Using inspection technology, you will help assess property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. Inspections may take place in varied weather conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, specifically steep and high roofs.
- Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
- Professionalism and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
- Entrepreneurial spirit.
- Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
- Must have a Lidar-equipped device or be able to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.
Nice To Haves
- Roofing or construction-related background.
- Insurance claims experience.
- HAAG Certification.
