About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property-inspection services for insurance agencies. The Field Roof Inspector works as an independent contractor conducting roof assessments, including on steep and high roofs; evaluating exterior and interior damage; and performing underwriting property inspections. Using inspection technology, the inspector helps assess property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. Work may involve varied weather conditions and direct interaction with insureds.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• A Lidar-equipped device or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or newer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
