About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property-inspection services to insurance agencies. Field Roof Inspectors conduct assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluate exterior and interior damage, and perform underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. This is a 1099 subcontractor position serving Meridian, Mississippi.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Must have a Lidar-equipped device or be able to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or newer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background.
• Insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
