Robo Wrap/Pack Operator
About The Position
The Robo Wrap/Pack Operator wraps outbound orders in designated loading zones in accordance with company procedures and standards so drivers have products safely stowed and organized for efficient delivery. The operator builds and wraps pallets from the bottom to the top cases to prevent transport damage, keeps work on pace with dispatch times, and communicates issues to a supervisor. The role also supports loaders by unloading staged trailers and maintaining the dock area. Work may involve extreme temperatures above 100 degrees and below freezing. The operator maintains Robo wrappers in clean, operational condition and follows safety practices.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to read batch labels.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be team-oriented and able to get along with others.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of warehouse experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Wrap outbound orders in designated loading zones according to company procedures and standards.
- Build pallets using preferred methods and wrap them from the bottom to the top cases to prevent damage during transport.
- Notify a supervisor of any issues.
- Complete work productively and on time, keeping pallets wrapped in line with dispatch times and loader productivity.
- Verify header labels are in the upper-right corner for loaders to locate easily.
- Keep the work area free of debris.
- Assist loaders by unloading staged trailers containing pallets, blankets, straps, and debris; raise the door, lock the trailer to the dock, and lower the dock plate.
- Keep Robo wrappers clean and operational, prevent excess shrink wrap from building up around the guide wheel, avoid cutting shrink wrap from rollers with a box cutter, and do not place stickers on equipment.
- Wipe down equipment at the end of each shift.
- Follow safety work practices and maintain a clean, orderly dock area.
