About The Position

The Case Packer Operator operates, monitors, and performs basic maintenance on case packing equipment on a production line. The role ensures finished product pouches or containers are packed into cases, sealed, and staged for shipment according to Naturpak® quality, food safety, and production standards. The operator works with the production team to maintain efficient line flow and meet daily output targets.

Work is performed in a food manufacturing production environment, with regular exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. Strict adherence to GMP, food safety, and workplace safety requirements is mandatory.

Requirements

• Ability to read and accurately follow production orders, SOPs, and written and verbal instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills to verify product counts and case quantities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly identify mispacked, damaged, or out-of-spec cases.
• Ability to work at a pace that supports continuous production flow and meets line output targets.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for performing minor adjustments and clearing simple jams on the case packer.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; flexibility to work overtime as production needs require.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift on a production floor.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, and handle cases of finished product and packaging materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions associated with packing and loading tasks.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, hairnets, and safety footwear, for the duration of the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience operating case packing, packaging, or production line equipment in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate case packing equipment at the start of each production run.
• Monitor packing and inspect cases for count, seal, labels, and integrity.
• Load packaging materials to keep the line running.
• Respond to jams and equipment issues and perform changeovers between runs.
• Complete production records, case count logs, and quality checks.
• Keep the case packer area clean and follow GMP, food safety, and safety procedures.
