RN PRN 10P - Mother Baby - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Mother/Baby RN works on Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children’s 38-bed Mother/Baby unit, providing family-centered couplet care to postpartum mothers and newborns. Shortly after delivery, nurses support skin-to-skin bonding and breastfeeding. The unit offers rooming-in, lactation support, and designated quiet hours. The RN assesses, educates, and cares for postpartum mothers and newborns; identifies patient needs; prioritizes care based on assessments; and is accountable for care delivered during the assigned shift. The RN collaborates and communicates effectively with multidisciplinary team members and receives ongoing education and training in maternal/newborn care and breastfeeding.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Alabama nursing licensure.
- BLS and NRP required within 6 months of hire.

- Nursing experience is preferred; new graduates are accepted.
