About The Position

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle by using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within the organization’s policies and procedures and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
For PRN positions, one year in a hospital setting preferred.
Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable.
