About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialist coordinates wound care therapy as part of the total nursing care plan for patients. The specialist participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The role reports to the Director of Wound Care and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with documentation or credentials provided.
Current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working.
Current CPR certification, which must be maintained.
Two years of direct patient care experience.

Nice To Haves

Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course.
Experience in emergency care, critical care, or ET nursing.

Responsibilities

Coordinate wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
