About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking an RN Supervisor for Focused Care at Pasadena in Pasadena, Texas. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the RN Supervisor assists in supervising nursing services and setting standards of care. The role helps ensure residents receive professional, skilled care and treatment that addresses their medical, physical, emotional, and psychological needs. This is a non-exempt position with a schedule assigned according to facility needs; hours may be flexible depending on those needs.

Requirements

Registered nurse licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners in Texas.
Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing in monitoring, evaluating, and organizing direct nursing care.
Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing, physicians, team members, and residents to promote clinical outcomes and continuity of care.
Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
Make frequent rounds during the shift and assist residents and staff when necessary.
Apply critical thinking to resident conditions and implement interventions to help prevent avoidable rehospitalizations.
Monitor completion of electronic medical records and documentation.
Educate staff on policies and processes when necessary.
Support newly hired nursing staff.
