About The Position

Registered Nurse needed for the 4 North Cardiac Telemetry Unit, specializing in cardiac telemetry and patient care after cardiac procedures. Requires full-time hours and competency in floating to different areas as needed.

Requirements

• Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience with the ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips.
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Responsibilities

• Care for patients following cardiac procedures such as ablations, cardiac catheterizations, and open-heart surgeries.
• Administer and titrate IV medications including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
• Perform procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement, chest tube maintenance, and temporary pacemaker management.
