About The Position
The Med Surg/Tele General Surgical Unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care for general surgical patients. Nurses in this area work with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and focus on all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures.
Requirements
- Valid AL or Compact License (No temporary licenses accepted).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of experience in the field of specialty, with at least 1 year under a professional license.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care for patients, ensuring pain management and mobility.
- Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed.
