About The Position
The Registered Nurse in Telemetry is responsible for providing care in a holding area in the ER for patients transitioning to the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry floors. The role primarily involves working with an elderly population with a focus on critical care and monitoring of medically complex patients.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
- Must pass an EKG test.
- Valid Illinois RN license.
- Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and BLS.
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret EKG readings and other vital signs.
- Provide routine and emergency nursing care to patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Possibly float within the hospital as required.
