About The Position
RN - Telemetry Department Float Pool (Part time position - MUST attend a full two week Monday through Friday orientation) St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center. This position would be in our Telemetry float pool. This would be a great way to experience all of our telemetry units.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- ACLS and BLS required from the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Passion for Cardiology
- Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
