About The Position

This is a 34-bed adult surgical general unit. The role involves standard RPN III duties and skills, with a focus on surgical pre/postoperative care. Equipment utilized includes vital signs machines, IV & PCA pumps, WOWS/EMR charting, and Pyxis.

Requirements

• Active State of HI license required by start of assignment.
• At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Proficient in standard RPN III duties and role.
• Strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing (e.g., abdominal surgeries like lap chole/appy, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, drains).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard RPN III duties and skills.
• Provide surgical pre/postoperative care.
• Operate vital signs machines, IV & PCA pumps.
• Utilize WOWS/EMR charting.
• Manage Pyxis.
• Float to other units/departments as needed.
• Work shifts and weekends.
• Be flexible with assignments.
