About The Position

This position involves providing occupational therapy services to patients in both Rehabilitation and Acute Rehab settings. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing therapeutic programs as prescribed by physicians, and updating treatment plans and home exercise programs. The role requires independent caseload management and knowledge of when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorizations. The therapist must be able to work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary, depending on hospital operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' work experience in adult Outpatient and Acute settings.
• Hawaii License required.
• BLS from American Red Cross.
• Must be able to work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Active State of HI license must be obtained by the start of the assignment if not already possessed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients (Outpatient or Inpatient).
• Plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic occupational therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician.
• Regularly update treatment plan and home exercise program.
• Independently manage a full caseload.
• Perform re-evaluations based off insurance authorization.
