About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Flex Pool, working night shifts. The role involves floating between various medical and surgical units. Candidates must possess an active Hawaii RN license by the start of the assignment. Medical and religious exemptions are not accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity. The assignment involves 12-hour night shifts (1845 to 0715), with a scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation. There is no guarantee of hours. The units utilize Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes. The nurse-to-patient ratio varies by unit: Medical is 1:6 for days and evenings, and 1:8 for nights; Laulima is 1:6; Cardiovascular is 1:4. Ratios may change due to unexpected leaves. The dress code is professional nursing attire with clean scrubs.

Requirements

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment.
• 2-10 years of experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.

Responsibilities

• Float between various medical and surgical units.
