RN Staff Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
About The Position
Legacy Health is seeking an RN Staff Nurse to provide patient-centered care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Working closely with Angiography, Cardiovascular, and Electrophysiology Technologists, nurses use advanced technologies to support diagnosis and treatment in a dynamic, team-based environment. The role provides care across Cath Lab service lines and patient populations, excluding those at Emanuel and Randall Children’s Hospitals. Services include interventional cardiology, vascular procedures, adult and pediatric interventional radiology and neuroradiology, adult and pediatric electrophysiology, structural heart interventions, and pediatric and congenital interventional cardiology.
Requirements
- Current applicable state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
- Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
Responsibilities
- Provide care across Cath Lab service lines and patient populations, excluding those at Emanuel and Randall Children’s Hospitals.
- Support procedures including interventional cardiology, vascular procedures, adult and pediatric interventional radiology, adult and pediatric interventional neuroradiology, adult and pediatric electrophysiology, structural heart interventions, and pediatric and congenital interventional cardiology.
- Deliver direct patient care in the assigned Hospital Cath Lab setting.
- Function as a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, in collaboration with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee.
- Adhere to the Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse.
- Perform all phases of the nursing process: assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Follow Legacy Health System standards, including those for patient assessment and patient transfer.
