RN Staff Nurse - Operating Room
About The Position
The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, working under the direction of the clinical manager or designee and in accordance with applicable Registered Nurse standards and scope of practice. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in accordance with Legacy Health System standards, including patient assessment and transfer standards. This position is in the Operating Room at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, which has five operating rooms and averages 12–15 cases per day. The medical center offers advanced surgery, including two Da Vinci Robots.
Requirements
- Education as required by licensure.
- One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
- One to two years of operating room experience circulating.
- Availability to meet the 30-minute call requirement.
- Current applicable state RN license.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or degree in progress.
- Scrubbing experience.
