About The Position

The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, cooperating with and working under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The role follows the applicable Registered Nurse Standards and Scope of Practice and Legacy Health System patient-care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.

This position is with the Operating Room at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, a full-service medical center serving the south metro area. The center has 10 operating rooms, including four minimally invasive suites, a DaVinci robot, and a Stryker Mako robot. The role requires 1–2 years of OR RN circulating experience and availability to meet a 30-minute call time. The call schedule varies monthly and uses self-scheduling.

Requirements

• Current applicable state RN license.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program in content, curriculum, and duration.
• 1–2 years of OR RN circulating experience.
• Availability to meet a 30-minute call time; the monthly call schedule is variable and self-scheduled.
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
• Education as required by licensure.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
• Ability to scrub is preferred.
