About The Position

The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The role follows the relevant Registered Nurse Standards and Scope of Practice and Legacy Health System patient care standards. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, including patient assessment and transfer.

This position is in the Operating Room at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, which has 10 operating rooms, including four minimally invasive suites, a DaVinci robot, and a Stryker Mako robot. The role requires 1–2 years of OR RN circulating experience and availability to meet a 30-minute call time. The call schedule varies each month and uses self-scheduling.

Requirements

• Education as required by licensure.
• One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program.
• 1–2 years of OR RN circulating experience.
• Availability to meet the 30-minute call time.
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
• Current applicable state RN license.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or degree in progress.
• Ability to scrub.
