About The Position

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based pediatric emergency department team in Tacoma, Washington. The RN applies specialized nursing knowledge and training to deliver patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses are supported in participating in clinical decision-making, communicating with colleagues, developing professionally, and contributing to the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is 0.75 FTE on a night schedule of 1900–0700, with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a multistate license endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
