About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN – PCU for an exciting Travel or Local job in Potsdam, NY. This role involves providing direct nursing care to PCU, MS Telemetry, and Medical Surgical patients, monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias, and managing patients with various complex conditions. The position requires administering medications and treatments, performing various line and wound care, managing respiratory support, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Accurate documentation using EPIC and Pyxis systems is essential.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/IMC experience required
- PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Active RN License required
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmias, cardiac drips, post-MI care, and stepdown nursing required
Nice To Haves
- PALS and TCAR preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to PCU, MS Telemetry, and Medical Surgical patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias
- Manage patients with post-MI care, renal failure, CVA, seizure disorders, trauma, and surgical recovery
- Administer blood products, IV insulin, heparin protocols, PCA, thrombolytics, and cardiac drips
- Perform central line, PICC line, peripheral IV, feeding tube, and wound vac care
- Manage CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy, and oxygen therapy patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care and outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and Pyxis systems
