About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN - Adult Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY. This role involves providing bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgery patients, administering medications, performing wound care, inserting catheters, starting IV therapy, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with discharge planning. The position also includes educating patients and families on care and recovery, and maintaining patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience (acute or post-acute, recent within 1 year)
- Experience in home care (traveling to patient homes required)
- Active New York State RN License
- BLS (AHA) required
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Provide bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgery patients
- Administer medications and document records
- Perform wound care, infection control, and dressing changes
- Insert catheters and start IV therapy
- Monitor vitals and report adverse reactions
- Assist with discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on care and recovery
- Maintain patient records and documentation
