RN Outpatient - Same Day Surgery
About The Position
The Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized nursing care. The RN facilitates health care services for patients in outpatient settings in cooperation with the health care team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively with motivated professionals, with ongoing opportunities for learning and development. The position is suited to detail-oriented, compassionate, and motivated registered nurses who can provide high-quality care to patients and families. Successful team members are adaptable, communicate well, manage time effectively, and use critical thinking. The role is in the Same Day Surgery department and has a 10-hour day shift schedule with 20 scheduled hours per week.
Requirements
- Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
- Be adaptable, detail-oriented, compassionate, and motivated, with strong communication, time-management, and critical-thinking skills.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred, including programs accredited by AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
